Why it helps

A safe, gentle class, ready in the time it takes to print.

Every move has a seated version, so everyone in the room can join in.

Pick a class, print its cue cards, put its slides on the TV and follow the plan. Warm-up, main set and cool-down are already timed to about 30 minutes.

Three series of four classes, chair yoga, chair tai chi and steady and balanced, give you a 12-week term with no planning.

How it works

Three steps before every class

01
Pick a class

Each plan lists every move in order, with the count, any notes, and the cue card page.

02
Print the cue cards

The steps to say, the breath cue, the easier option and the seated version, two cards to a page.

03
Put the slides on

One deck per class: a big picture, the name and the count, so the whole room can follow.

Questions

Good to know

What does the facility license allow?

Leading the classes with your residents, clients or members; printing as many copies as you need, including handouts; showing the slides on your screens; and sharing the files with staff and volunteers who run classes at your licensed location(s). Live classes streamed only to your own residents or members are fine. Reselling, posting online or sharing with other organizations is not.

Single facility or multi-site?

Single facility covers one location (one building or campus). Multi-site covers up to five locations run by the same organization. Need more? Email sk@elderlydaily.com.

Can residents in wheelchairs join in?

Yes. Every move has a seated version, and the setup page covers wheelchair users (brakes on, seated moves only).

Do I need any equipment?

Sturdy chairs with no wheels. Some classes use small water bottles as light weights, a towel for a calf stretch, or a second chair to hold for standing moves.

Where do the moves come from?

From ElderlyDaily’s Chair Yoga, Chair Tai Chi and Tai Chi Walking programs, adapted for groups. Chair and clothing advice follows the NHS “Sitting exercises” guide.

How do I show the slides?

Open the slides PDF on a laptop connected to your TV or projector, and use full-screen view. Each class has its own deck, and its plan tells you which slide to start on.

What is in the Program Pack?

A 21-page add-on in US Letter and A4: a quick start and printing guide, a substitute instructor guide and checklist for days your regular leader is away, a 12-month class planner, certificates, posters, a feedback form, a favorite-move vote, a family newsletter and invitation, and thank-you notes. It is covered by the same license.
